At the same time, it is important to understand that a solar power plant (SPP) is not only photovoltaic panels, but a complex of equipment that also includes solar inverters, batteries (for autonomous and hybrid systems), as well as cables and other components for connection and efficient operation of the system. That is why before installing a SPP, it is worth determining your own needs and choosing the optimal type of power plant:
A grid-connected solar power plant is the best option in terms of installation costs, since it works together with the general power grid. During the day, the electricity generated by solar panels is used to cover the needs of the consumer. At night or in case of insufficient generation, electricity comes from the centralized network.
This type of solar power plant is one of the most common, but its operation depends on the availability of a stable power supply. If connected to the appropriate program, the excess electricity generated can be sold to the grid at a "green" tariff, which allows you to receive additional income and gradually compensate for the costs of installing the station.
If the main purpose of installing a solar power plant is to provide electricity during accidents, outages or blackouts, you should consider an autonomous or hybrid system.
An autonomous solar power plant accumulates excess energy generated in batteries and can provide the consumer with electricity regardless of the centralized network. At the same time, such a system does not provide for the possibility of selling excess electricity to the grid and receiving income from this.
A hybrid solar power plant combines the functionality of a grid and autonomous system. It allows you to use electricity from solar panels, accumulate it in batteries, receive electricity from the grid and provide backup power during outages. Due to their wide capabilities, hybrid systems are the most versatile, but at the same time their installation usually requires the largest investment.
